Part-Time Director of Finance & Operations Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial Part-Time Director Finance & Operations to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role requires a professional adept at managing financial strategy, operational efficiency, and team alignment to support the sustainable growth of KYPRIS. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of financial acumen, operational expertise, and a collaborative spirit to help scale our business while maintaining the brand’s integrity and core values.

The right candidate must have an MBA or CPA or another comparable Master's Degree with an emphasis on Finance in additional to appropriate professional experience. CPG and DTC experience is a must.

This role would be a fantastic opportunity for a stay at home parent with extensive professional expertise who wants to get their hands dirty and work at a high level but not full time. Or, someone who has created their success and is seeking a part time role where they can help meaningfully grow a business. 

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Leadership (Director of Finance Responsibilities)

  • Develop and oversee financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Manage cash flow, inventory planning, and demand forecasting to ensure operational efficiency and financial health.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance to guide decision-making.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Operations Leadership (Director of Operations Responsibilities)

  • Streamline and optimize operational processes, including supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution logistics.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align inventory and production with promotional calendars.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations to support business operations.
  • Build and refine operational systems that scale with the company’s growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a dual Finance & Operations or similar role within the beauty, wellness, or luxury goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, demand planning, and inventory management.
  • Track record of successfully optimizing operations and scaling businesses.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and meticulous execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial and operational tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with B Corporation standards and sustainability practices is a plus.

  • This is a part-time position with flexibility in hours and the potential for growth.
  • Location: Hybrid—remote with weekly in-person meetings (Scottsdale, AZ area preferred).
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
